Reminded in church today that Christ is praying for us...actively, lovingly, interceding on our behalf! I was very encouraged, so I thought I'd share a few verses....
Consequently (BECAUSE OF WHO CHRIST IS), He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (Heb. 7:25)
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. (Rom. 8:26-27)
For we do not have a high priest who his unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb. 4:15-16)
I know I'm not the only one facing crazy change right now...facing crazy uncertainties that stir "reasonable" fears. And so though it is nothing new, I found it a great, refreshing comfort to remember that Christ is praying for me, for us, always and that every life season (even the most precipitous and alarming), is covered by Christ's unshakable love and His plea of grace before the Father. May we claim this truth (that God is for us), and may we rejoice in His goodness!
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Phil. 3:19)!
