Father, thank you gracing me with the opportunity to see your majestic handiwork in Alaska.
I am thankful for snowy mountain tops...rugged, jagged, stark and bold.

I am thankful for life's twists and turns...for the unknowns down the road...
for the unknowns on other the other side of the mountain. Lord, thank you for your Sovereignty.
Thank you that I can trust you, even as you keep me guessing...
Thank you Father for laughter. For silly time, for ski time with friends, for fresh air to breathe and muscles to move, for big sky to behold, for snow to slip and slide upon.

Thank you Father for seasons. For sunrises and sunsets. Thank you Lord for declaring your glory through the things we can feel and see and know tangibly.

And I am thankful for Thanksgiving...for the opportunity to bake for myself the very crescent rolls my mom has faithfully prepared for decades....to pause and to remember how important it is to integrate the discipline of thanksgiving on a daily basis...
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Col 3:12-17.
very well put. :) Thankful for a friend like you!
ReplyDeleteand I am thankful for you, Erin, and for your way of capsulizing in words God's provision for you "through it all"!
ReplyDeletePS I think Alaska's beauty is trumping the freezing cold?
