...for continued affirmation about my being here...It seems I turned a corner this week...really realizing somehow that I'm here...in rural Alaska...I'm not just visiting and helping out for a few months...
...for encouragement at work...
I have only one more week for orientation before I will be the only nurse on duty when I work!
Fun fact: I've done more IVs in the past three weeks than I did throughout all of nursing school!
...for grace, for myself as I'm learning....
...for wisdom, discernment and good assessment skills as I'm working with patients....
...as I continue to build community here.... for friendships, for brothers...
...for people to process with...
...that my heart would remain tender towards those who have a long record of slip-ups with drugs and alcohol...
...for opportunities to speak truth...to pray with patients...
...for everything winter-related to come together yet....I still need some significant articles of clothing, and I'm yet to "winterize" my truck....

...for direction about which church to plant myself....
...for new joy and peace with each new day...
...for increased intimacy with Christ...
I'm running into town, to Anchorage that is, this weekend for some groceries (and hopefully some boots)! I'm going to meet up with the former Res-life co-director of Biola too! Looking forward to this time! Pray for safety along the long, four-hour road!
