It seems the Glennallen community has been struck hard lately...
The list of terminal cancer patients seems to grow. We lost one loved gentleman this last week, the very same day another community member perished in a house fire. People are really hurting in this valley...people are being asked to grapple with death and dying.
I spoke with a man on the phone in the wee hours of the morning the other day...a man that has isolated himself in many ways. It was a sad conversation. He is so lonely, his tone pierced my heart. He talked about his dogs, the errands he needs to do, and the people he holds grudges with...Pray that this man might be surprised by, broken by kindness and love.
Pray for Jesus to be made known in these rocky times. Pray for opportunities for the staff at Cross Road to minister, to speak truth and encouragement...to speak Life in the midst of heartache, uncertainty and pain.
