In between the fun of Fairbanks and Chitina...(see two preceding posts!!)
I've been pretty "under the weather" with a snotty cold...
I think I'm on the tail end of it now, but please pray for renewed energy and health...
Not only for myself but for this whole community.
It seems every other person is coughing, feverish, sneezing, snotting...
Work has been good!
Praise the Lord, we have a couple new nurses here to help cover shifts!
I helped orient Nicole this last week (she was here back in 2007-08). She's awesome!
We have another nurse, Jen, coming this week too!
Last week I helped interview a couple new grads that may be coming up at the end of summer...
Thank God for his faithfulness and continued timely provision of staff!
The season is changing...the ocean is thawing down south and sea otters have returned!
The days of forty below are no longer. And bears will be waking all too soon.
The clinic has been getting busier...
There has been a upward trend &I think we have been averaging more than thirty patients a day! And I've been having quite a bit of fun at work lately...lots of really good patient interactions. Such an answer to prayer!
Thankful for the opportunities to learn, grow, care for others.
Praying that as Paul writes in 2 Corinthians, chapter 4...that God's "light will shine in my heart to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God" in everything I do...
Pray that God will continue to entrust me with moments to use my nursing and to be his instrument among the people of this valley!
Pray also for Tim. He's in Guatemala for another two weeks. He's been working hard on a house that is to be home, really a refuge, for young women. On Sunday a team from Texas will be arriving and he will be involved in coordinating ministry with them. Pray for energy and strength for him. For opportunities to use his hands and skills to bless others, for opportunities to interact with people and to share the treasure of Christ's love!
Thank you so much for your prayers and support!
Feel free to post comments with prayer requests of your own,
that we might mutually encourage & lift each other up in prayer!
