I had the opportunity to go ice fishing for the first time this last week! Great fun!

We drove into Wrangell St. Elias National park to Silver Lake (past Chitina)...
It was a beautiful Alaskan day!
Digging down through 4 feet of ice!
These fun ladies were visiting from Amish country, New York!
Thankful for them and the adventures we shared!

I caught three Rainbow Trout within the first hour!
And that was about all the luck we had that day...
A crew of us went back out to try again later that evening...
We built a fire on the ice and drank hot cocoa under the stars...
And waited for the fish to bite....They didn't.
But it was a fun & memorable night nonetheless! So excited to do some more Alaskan fishing!
